Terrific Tam O’Shanter boxes in 6B

Over the past fortnight we have been exploring and talking about the life and works of Robert Burns. We have been thinking about the things that influenced his work and taking a closer look at some of the language used in his poem Tam O’Shanter.

After having summarised the poem (which as we all know is very long) the children split up into groups and were asked to create a scene from the poem using resources found in the classroom. The finished products are absolutely fantastic- I couldn’t have done it better myself!

As you can see, the groups had a very different take on the witches attending the dance!!!
