Class Economy

Last Friday, Primary 5 C held a class economy market for golden time.  The children worked in teams to create businesses and then ran their shops on the Friday. We worked during the week on maths tasks related to enterprise e.g. calculating costs and working out profit.  I was so proud of the children for the thought and planning they put into their enterprises.  We had a nail bar, origami stalls, baking, games, comic stores and much more.  Primary 5 B became our customers and at the end of the day takings were calculated.  It was a joyful event and I was so impressed with their entrepreneurial skills.  We have now also reported back on how the businesses performed and reflected on successes and next steps.
