P4A Soup Adverts

What a busy week P4A have had!!! We have been learning all about food adverts. The children worked in groups to create and film their own soup advert for the delicious lentil soup they made last week. The adverts were BRILLIANT and we all enjoyed watching them. P4A Money Museum

P4A enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Money Museum. The children investigated and handled money artefacts, explored coins, made their own coin and compared banknotes from the past and present. We all learned so much about money! We hope you enjoy looking at the photographs

Soup glorious soup!

P4A made lentil soup in the school kitchen on Friday. The children worked in house groups to make their own pot of healthy soup. They enjoyed tasting their creation and lots of the children wanted second helpings- yummy! 

Making Adverts

As well as making soup P4B have been learning about adverts and how to ‘hook’ people into buying their products.  They have been working in teams to design packaging for their soup, thinking of a logo, a soup name and how they will market it.  As well as the packaging they have been making an advert and then we are having a go at filming them on iPads.
It certainly was a busy day in P4B.  Great work though, fab ideas and team work! Well done all!

Sensational Soup

What a bust day we have had in P4B!  We made lentil soup in a group and nearly devoured a whole pot per group (8pupils)!  We worked brilliantly together and demonstrated some great skills in the kitchen.  Some even surprised themselves by trying it and finding that they liked it and then others tried it, tried it and tried it again until they discovered that they did like it.
Be ready at home for some nice autumnal soups being made.

“Walk like an Egyptian”
P4c had amazing fun on Monday, dressing up as Egyptians, learning about Egyptians and their make-up application rituals, and we learned to dance like an Egyptian using a very handy clip
